I am happy to confirm the fact that many metal roofing manufacturers and contractors are recommending and using the Low-E Insulation from ESP in residential roofing applications. They have found that it is performing well in the field to reduce thermal load while also serving as an effective underlayment.

We have now had the pleasure of being in our building for a summer and a winter.

Both seasons were comfortable due to the use of you Low-E ¼ Insulation that was placed under the skin of the metal building.

There is also a saving of electricity for lighting due to our painting of the structural steel an the reflectivity of the foil backing on the polyethylene foam insulation. Of course we have wall lights in the walls also.

We are very pleased with your Low-E Insulation product. We made a wise decision to use this product.

We have used Low-E insulation on many of our projects. The Low-E Insulation has impressed us every single time. Low-E helps us in many ways:
  • Low-E does an excellent job reflecting heat away from the interior of the building. The difference between fiberglass insulation and Low-E is noticeable in this regard. We use the product in construction projects where we are converting flat roofed building to sloped. In this line of work we are creating a new attic space over an existing roof. We now insulate this new attic space with Low-E in lieu of fiberglass. The difference is obvious to us and our workers who are use to feeling the heat that that normally transfers in the attic space. One simple test that shows the difference is to tough the meal purlins, which support our roof panels. The Low-E significantly blocks the heat transfer from the roof to the purlin.

  • Low-E is easy to install ( Much easier than fiberglass). It can easily be pulled tight between purlins. There are no itchy fibers and it is more durable than vinyl backed fiberglass. Insulation time has improved on our projects using Low-E.

  • Another great benefit is that Low-E is an excellent vapor barrier. The foil facing and the polyethylene foam perform very well in controlling moisture. Low-E is not easily damaged during installation, which is another, plus in it's role as a vapor barrier.
BRB is very satisfied with your product and we plan to continue using Low-E Insulation.

I purchased some of your Low-E Product recently. I live in a 100 year old home in the heart of the heat and huidity zone. After living here for 44 years I've noticed a pattern that has developed in the summer. Typically the 2nd story has run anywhere from 5 – 20 degrees hotter than the first floor. On July 4, I installed Econo-E in my attic over the existing cellulose insulation in place. As the temperature in the attic was approaching 120 degrees, I didn't exert any extra effort to try and seal the joints or perimeter. On july 6, the temperature upstairs was the same as the downstairs. In 44 years of living in this house the air conditioner has never cooled the second floor adequately. Since the Insulation of Low-E I can now enjoy a comfortable night of sleep. The Air Conditioner finally cools the second floor.

I am also a general contractor. I recently completed a screen porch with a cathedral ceiling for a customer. I sold and installed, single sided Econo-E on the bottom side of the ceiling joists. Before installation, my employee was complaining about the tremendous heat radiating down from the foor. After installing the Econo-E, it was actually cooler on the porch than it was standing in the yard under a shade tree.

Thanks for a greatly needed product. I am astounded by it's performance.

It's only been several months since our new church facilities have been built, but already we are seeing and feeling the advantages of the Low-E insulation. Throughout the last two months we have seen some of the hottest weather on record with temperatures over 90 degrees daily, and night time temps also sweltering.

Nevertheless, our building is amazingly cool, without any air conditioning units running. Everyone who visits our new facilities remarks about how cool and pleasant the facility is, while outside brutal heat is unrelenting! The Low-E product makes such an incredible difference, that already our HVAC contractors are guessing that we have installed far more air conditioning than was needed or will ever be used, having installed less than codes suggest because we suspected that Low-E would make an incredible difference.

The next phase of our building project is now being designed and prepared. Now that we see what Low-E has done for us in this phase, we plan to use far less heat and A/C in the expansion. Our current facility is totally wrapped in Low-E, including under the concrete slab, around every wall, and under steel roofs. Our facility is of pole building and stud-wall construction, with all steel exterior (roof and side walls). One wing of the facility has a crawl space under it, and Low-E was also installed there under the floor joists as per the recommendations of Environmentally Safe Products, Inc.

Although our experience so far has been short, we heartily recommend Low-E and definitely plan to use it in all future expansions and building projects ofevery kind. It has become very obvious that this product is an investment that will repay itself quickly and decisively in a very short time. We are enthusiastic fans!
